HDMI audio works just fine using the probe_mask.

It depends on the HDMI device. For my video card, the specification
of the sound that travels over that wire is pretty strict. ONLY AC3,
only 44.1kHz, only stereo / 2 channels, only... And it does work if

I have installed alsa 1.0.24 on Centos 5.6 x86_64.
Not sure why it registers 2 audio devices either.
