I have been working with this RME Hammerfall (not the HDSP version) for years
now without trouble. But I would like to try recording 88.2/96 kHz.

I tried to set it using qjackctl, but this fails. Reading on the alsa-poject
site, I saw that in the .asoundrc entry for the card is marked that 88.2/96
does not work using the pcm. But there is nothing on how it does work. I
checked the rme9652.conf in the /usr/share/alsa/cards directory, and there
sites the line: "# FIXME: This configuration is not valid for double-speed
rates.".

I tried to run rmedigicontrol from the alsa-tools, but this says there is no
digi card in the pc (?). According to lspci, there is a DIGI9652 inside.

If I search the net, then this card is often advised as being able to record
at 88.2/96. But nowhere is explained how to do this.

Can anyone explain me how to get 88.2/96 working on a RME Hammerfall? The card
itself works with alsa and jack as long as I work in 44.1.

Thanks,
Johan
