Maybe someone could point us to a better ALSA mixer. I too have strange
tales to tell of alsamixer and many questions about it. I'd prefer a
more intuitive interface, preferably an X tool, maybe GTK+. Seen
anything like that?

which I can play audio through. But (and it's a big but) I can only get
audio out my rear speakers. I have my digital speakers connected to the
