As far as I know all the "edge" cards use the Phillips SAA7785 Thunderbird chipset.  
Very superficial information was released for this chip.  

Phillips reply to me when I asked them about Linux support was that the extent of 
Linux use would be monitored before any descision concerning Linux support for their 
cards would be made.

At this stage of the fight, you might as well use the card for an ornate paper weight 
if you only use Linux.
