Hey people   I have a problem with installing amanda. Until recently I had Amanda running on a RedHat 8.0 (amanda installed whith RedHat), that machine wasn't big enough so I got a bigger machine and installed RedHat 9.0 on it. This time without including Amanda because I wanted to try out

Strange Dump: Connection reset by peer

I am working on setting up Amanda to back up machines in the DMZ to an Amanda host on the internal network with a large raid array rather than a tape drive. I am running Amanda 2.4.4 compiled from source. My installation was compiled with the --with-portrange=10085,10090 and --with-udpportrange=8

Hi, we think about using amanda as a backup tool for Deutsche Bundestag (german parliament). We have some tape robots from IBM 3583 with 36 tapes and 2-6 LTO drives in it. Does anybody has expirence with this configuration or configuration files for this type of robot? The whole data volume will

Backup plan needs advice.

Hello, After a very long and hard time struggling with Amanda, I figured out that it's the Athlon bug, and have switched to an Intel. Now it works. However, I am still confused of some things regarding the backup plan, and hope someone will help me answer them. I would like to back up everyday,
