I need u guys experiences who are close and familiar with amanda. I used
amanda to backup my databases in /var/lib/mysql.
Does amanda can backup and restore databases without any error of its

Do you mind posting the debug logs from the client? It might be
easiest to blow away everything in /tmp/amanda (or whatever
AMANDA_DBGDIR is), run a dump, and then post the files that appear
there.

I'm using Debian/stable, amanda 2.5.1p1 (note 2.5.1, NOT 2.5.2).
For some reason amandad keeps dying on me. I can't find any reason in
any of my logs for this. Currently, I still have the following
processes running:
amanda2:/var/log/amanda/amandad# ps -ef |grep backup
backup 25
