Amanda users,
We are s close.
I have a DLE in my disklist that looks like this.
apoautil D:/backup zwc
The client is setup, and we successfully backed up
the D:\backup directory.
Unfortunately what we really wanted was to backup the
list of directories in the "backup" template define
I am still fighting compiling amanda on a Solaris 10 x86 computer.
I installed SunStuido12.1. and linked /opt/SUNWspro to /opt/SunStudio
This is my configure file.
./configure \
CC=/opt/SUNWspro/bin/cc \
--prefix=/local/amanda/AMANDAVERSION \
--with-user=amanda \

That sounds like the correct analysis.

Dustin,
Dan,
Looking at the "Zmanda Windows Client Configuration Utility"
I think we are looking at the amanda server config utility
for clients... ie, this is not used on the amanda-client end.
The template "File/folders to include" is the windows equiv
of the disklist file.
We need to add the
This is just plain old solaris.
Not knowing exactly how thing work in the compile process of amanda I found the
following.
/bin/bash ../libtool --tag=CC--mode=link /opt/SunStudio/bin/cc -g
-D_LARGEFILE_SOURCE -D_FILE_OFFSET_BITS=64 -release 2.6.1p2 -o libamanda.la
-rpath /local/amanda/A
Robert,
We do something like this
# mkdir /tmp/am-inst
Get the new amanda tar ball, unpack it into the /tmp/am-inst directory.
# cd amanda-2.6.1p2
[curie]: /tmp/am-inst/amanda-2.6.1p2 > printenv PATH
/opt/SUNWspro/bin:/opt/sfw/bin:/usr/bin:/usr/sbin:/usr/bin:/usr/ccs/bin
[curie]: /tmp
Hi Stefan,
You could use "tape spanning" to solve this, if you are worried that your data
won't fit on a single tape:
