Are spindle numbers host specific? I.e. if I have two different clients with DLEs listing the same spindle number, are they restricted from dumping at the same time? I always thought the restriction was not host specific. But I have two DLEs with spindle number 2 dumping at the same time. They

When redoing my environment recently I decided to use pre-built binaries where possible. I wasn't really expecting to find a good pkg for my x86 Solaris 9 system. But there it was, an Amanda 3.1.1 package on openCSW. I installed it and it has worked flawlessly for a few weeks now. When I

While trying things out I ran amadmin's find command. Depending on the host and disk specified it reports some logfiles not found for 2 - 7 tapes. Here are some sample warning lines: Warning: no log files found for tape Daily-025 written 2010-09-03 03:08:02 Warning: no log files found for tape
