I am getting STRANGE reports about every other day from amanda 3.1.3

I've upgraded to version 3.2.0 and have enabled parallel writes to
tape as follows. Although 2 tapes get mounted, only one gets written
to. Amcheck only mounts one tape, the second tape doesn't mount until
amdump is started. Any ideas?
