with exactly the same symptoms as before: all level 1 DLEs are equal in

Do we have a date for the blessed event? I have a few patches I
need to make sure get in there and I'd like to take that off my

Our plan is to release 3.3.6 i
I missed whether you tried using "strace" and "lsof" (or the /proc file system)
to see what system call and/or what file tar might be stuck on?

If I ever find the time to clean up the script, I'll be happy to share it. Not
sure how useful it'd be to others because it's specific to our situation.

Charles,
It erroneously report 'data-path is AMANDA but device do not support it'
because it didn't find a tape to use.

As far as aborting the current amdump, do I just SIGINT it and then

use 'amcleanup -k CONF', it should kill all processes on the amanda

Here is what we do:
We use vtapes in our Amanda setup. I wrote a small script that finds the most
recent level 0 backups and uses amvault to dump those to physical tapes. I run
this once a month and then archive those tapes. The script was hacked together
and if I get the time I'd like to chang

Hi,
If amanda is using memory cache for splits, is the cache shared
between simultaneous amdump runs, or does each try to grab that much
memory?
I'm setup like this:
part_cache_type memory
part_cache_max_size 20G
and with
