Whats the exact syntax for specing the style of estimates done?

>From the man page for amanda.conf, the estimate done seems to be part of 
a dumptype most logicly specified as
 
estimate client # but could be
estimate calcsize # or
estimate server # and I just found it was commented out for some reason.

but my reasoning says if I ask amadmin for an estimate, it should apply 
there also and take an hour or so to give me the list of levels and 
sizes.

But it remains instant.

For some reason I've had to insert "global" to every dumptype in order to 
make amcheck happy. But something has mucked up dumptype inheritance.

What do we have that could point out this error that doesn't seem to be 
checked by amcheck?
