Hello! I have 2 servers which are in DMZ. As firewall it is used cisco. For
one of them (portal) backup passes normally, for another (proxy) - is not
present, gives out a mistake:
WARNING: proxy: selfcheck request timed out. Host down?
For the client portal on cisco such rules:

Hello! I have a problem: at attempt of restoration of files amanda speaks the
following:
[code]
EOF, check amidxtaped.timestamp.debug file on guardian.
amrecover: short block 0 bytes
UNKNOWN file
amrecover: Can't read file header
extract_list - child returned non-zero status: 1
Continue
I again have a silly question:) At attempt to set a label to tapes, amlabel
gives out a following mistake:
amlabel: label svn16 doesn't match labelstr ^svn[1-25][1-25]*$
amlabel: label svn17 doesn't match labelstr ^svn[1-25][1-25]*$
amlabel: label svn18 doesn't match labelstr ^svn[1-25][1-25]*$

Yes, it is correct.
Is /var/www or anything under there (localhost or svn)
mounted via nfs? If so, most sites restrict root access

Hi all! I have a question. For example, if there is a directory, which owner
not amanda (for example, /var/www/localhost/htdocs, ovned by apache:apache),
amanda cannot make this directory reserve copying. I am right? If so, as then
to make reserve copying such directory?
Thankful in advance

but here is a basic way to do it:
you have to use amrecover as root. Change the entries in
/etc/amandahosts from:
host amanda
to :
host root
Then:
amadmin hostname
(this will give the tapes
