Hello again,
I just set up a couple of Red Hat clients on my amanda server (with the help
of this list). However, I found this in my reports from the previous night.
Is
this something I need be worried about? Or something that will clear up on
the next dump?
It seems to be expecting an entr
of every month. I'd probably have to
run such a backup config over the weekends so as not to insense
my users over slow network performance, but its probably do-able.
Any comments suggestions on this idea (that is, am I totally missing
something?) :-)
Thanks again!

Syst
when I try this method? Will I have
to set up a second config (ex: DailySet2) and run this second config with
its own set of tapes and run it during the last week of every month?
Thanks again,

err you mention the le0 interface in the config.
Is this correct 'cos the the le0 interface is a 10base system, not
100base!..

So, do I need to define them elsewhere as well?
Thanks again for the help!

What would the advantages/disadvantages be of using GNU tar
for all your backup needs? Is it less efficient than vendor
dump utilities? Unwanted side effects?

You say that you can position the tape at the beginning
of a fileset?

I have an AMANDA server running on a Sun ULTRA5 with Solaris 8.
It seems to work quite well.
