Problems configuring cleaning tape slot

f" The line containing "cleancart" is line 70 in my configuration file. What am I doing wrong? Is this no longer the proper way to specify cleaning tapes? I am using the tpchanger setting "chg-chio". Recycling tapes

I started with a set of six tapes, and expanded it to twenty. I'd like to retire the first six tapes and replace them with six more. Should I just wait for the six tapes to fall out of the cycle, label the new tapes with the old names, and destroy the old tapes? Jack. -- Jack Twilley j

Amanda and GPG

I looked over the UChicago site on Amanda and GPG, and found it curious that they were compressing before encrypting. GPG compresses as it encrypts, so it seems like the extra gzip stage would only slow things down. Has anyone else ever done this? Jack. -- Jack Twilley jmt at twilley dot org
