I am running Amanda 2.3.0 on a server whose DLT drive failed two weeks
ago.  Since then, I've installed an HP Ultrium 448 tape drive.  Backups
appear to succeed from the reports mailed to me daily:

These dumps were to tape VOL84.
Tonight's dumps should go onto 1 tape: VOL80.

However, when trying to recover data from those tapes, an end of tape
error occurs about midway through the tape when trying to extract from
amrestore.  The entire file list and directory structure is visible on
the tape, but the files just aren't there.  Has anyone experienced a
similar issue?  Is it just time to update to the latest version of
Amanda?
