I have an update: I have traced the problem to the indeces. If I turn indexing off, my test backup completes in the expected timespan. If I turn indexing on, it takes forever. A little information first: /etc/amanda/test/ contains amanda.conf and disklist. /var/amanda/test/ contains amdump f
