#amanda, the IRC channel - redux

The AMANDA IRC channel (#amanda on irc.freenode.net) seems to be a worthwhile idea, going by the level of visitation and participation. Some more northern hemisphere people would be good, as many people tend to turn up when we antipodeans are asleep. :) It'd be nice to see some developers hangi

amanda and dump->gnuitar

I'm sure this is an obvious FAQ, but anyway ... The time has come when I need greater granularity for our backups, so I want to switch from dump to gnutar. I gather this isn't a simple proccess - is there a Canonical Way of doing so? Mixing dump and gnutar backups in the same tape cycle sound
