I meant to ask this a little earlier. but was hoping that if your
success was do to changes that the release would make it into the
stable releases first. My last attempt was with
2.4.4p4, the last stable realease, and this was built from a beta
release, I wanted to ask three questions.

and make worked just fine.

Was it a simple compilation, or did you need some modification. I
would like to drop samba on the macosx machines.

Best I've been able to do is client about two versions back. As I
would really, really like to use an OSX server as my amanda server,
and back up mostly to disk, I am pursuing this in my spare time, and
would also love to know of anyone who made progress.
The compiles end in errors.
