Hello amanda-users,
I'm still working at this :-(
I have the amanda server installed on a dedicated server. I'm trying to
backup a filesystem on one of my clients.
I keep getting a data timeout on this client, and the filesystem does
not get backed

Test #1:
I commented out all filesystems except one of the failing ones and
simply ran amdump. RESULT: Worked perfectly.
Test #2:
Added in the final two failing filesystems and ran amdump.
RESULT: Worked perfectly.
Any suggestions on what it could be.

I am running Amanda 2.4.2p2 on a Redhat Linux 7.3 as my Amanda server.
The clients are mostly Solaris. I have been been backing up the server
and adding clients one at a time. Everything was working well, one
server and two clients, then I added a third client. Now I getting data

I am having problems with timeouts on one of my file systems. I am running
version 2.4.2p2 on Solaris 8 (Sparc). I am doing backup with GNUtar version
1.13.19. I am using tar to backup directories on a large raid (larger then
my tape size). All the file systems execpt for one are working fine.

System dump/restore is highly OS (actually, file system format) dependent.
There is very little chance you could

Hi There,
i have been using amanda for some time now without incident, though I
noticed in the last couple of runs, I have been getting "data timeout"
errors on a couple of my file systems. These backups are running on the
Amanda Server itself (all local FSs). I did not see anything similar in
