Hi all,
I have an HP DAT24x6i 6 slot changer (HP C1557A U812) which seems
to be working well, except for one problem.
When amanda is on the last tape in the magazine and requests the
next one, the first tape is loaded but amanda fails to recognise
it.
The error I get is:
amcheck-server: slot Use: no tape online
This also happens if I request the first tape by its label name
using amtape. However, if I tell amtape to load slot 1, or get it
to read the label when that slot is already loaded, it works without
a problem.
It looks like amanda isn't waiting long enough for the new tape to
be loaded when the magazine has to be flipped (I have no idea how
it works internally), but this doesn't happen when changing from slot
3 to 4 (which are also on opposite sides of the magazine).
Can I increase this timeout somehow, or am I barking up the wrong
tree?
