O.k. - I flushed out all incrementals from the holding disk to
tape yesterday. I used amadmin to force a level 0 dump.
I labled a tape and stuck it into the drive then went home.
Amanda ran last night without any problems or errors.

Since you have not changed the "reserve" parameter (and I don't recommend
that you do), Amanda has no choice. It will not have a tape and will

I assume you mean:
chunksize 1000 Mb
Don't forget the "Mb". Without it, you're telling Amanda to use chunks
of 1000 **bytes**, which is going to behave very badly.
