Thanks Brian, Okay, kind of following your advise I increase the timeout in amavisd.conf to 20 for the ldap_enable section. This had no effect. I have verified with ldapsearch that uid=admin can access the details using those supplied in the amavisd.conf from the server running amavis. I d
