Is there an IRC channel associated with the project?
Not that it should replace the mailing lists but it could be of more
immediate help to others.
I happen to be sitting on freenode in an empty #amavisd-new channel.
I'll help anyone that I can and hope others will join with the same mindset.

I eventually did the same info lookup and have asked one of the IRCops
to drop the registration.
