my opensuse box uses things like tripwire and logdigest sending reports
to my email address

I'm trying to whitelist/blacklist either a sender email address or a sender
domain to an internal domain. So if I understand this correctly, I would get
the ID of the sender from the mailaddr table. So for example if I wanted to
blacklist @hotmail.com, in my mailddr table, the id for @hotmail.co

What was updated today?
What does maillog show when trying to start amavisd?
Multiple versions of perl?
Try running amavisd binary 'strace -f -o/tmp/ amavisd start ' then
review /tmp/
and see if it gives more clues.
