I finally gave up on finding a download of avrasm2.exe and associated files and
downloaded Studio 7.
For those of your that have installed/run Studio 7 on non-intel Linux is there
a preference between Wine and Box86 environments? Does one work better than the
other?

I absolutely agree. And the Studio 7 comes with avrasm2. There is a
version update from 2.1.
