Something I do is this, and it can be useful in many circumstances.
Create a Watch List with all the symbols you want to filter.
Such as all Mutual Funds, and another list of all your indexes.
Then assign a variable as follows to each filter
mCEFfilter= InWatchListName( "CLOSED END
Is this becoming a useless source for data?
Lately I'm getting large numbers of symbols coming up N/A on the
Daily update (done late at night).
The data is present in the historical download.

Sorry, but this layout thing is quite annoying, not intuitive, and
perverse.
I create a new database and it forces the existing layout. Can't
figure out how to start with a BLANK LAYOUT, not linked to layouts
used in other databases.
Poor design.

Using datenum()

Must be some way to 'unlink' the structure and let it stand alone,

Have a collection of custom indicators in a sheet. (The sheet is in

I want to copy these and resave under a new name, in the custome folder
AB will not let me rename the afl sheet it uses. It reverts back to
the original name automatically.
Whats the problem?
I have two databases, both are using the same layout and template

All I want to do is rename the afl to something and resave the LOCAL

I'm sure this is a one or two liner, but can't quite pull it together.
Would use :
GetFnData( "LastSplitDate" )
GetFnData( "LastSplitRatio")
as data inputs.
Not sure why such damage was done since all the files seem intact.
All my drag and drop afl files are there.
Not very robust.
First time this has happened. I hat to press reset on the computer,
(I actually thought AB was closed, but guess not), and when I next ran

The only file I see that was apparently trashed was the broker.prefs

Any way to do this now? Does not look like it.
Good luck trying to impost an entire db that way.
Theres a limit to the number of symbols.

Maybe you're right, thats why I haven't gotten an answer to the

I want to save the structure of the window, the embedded indicators,

Saving the layout does not do this.
How are you supposed to safely save a layout so that it can be
recovered.
The docs are not clear.
Wasn't able to figure out how, and it would be a very neat way to
create a pdf chart book, and multiple charts per page, for those that
have a pdf driver installed.

As I mentioned I've been programming for 30 years.
What I'm doing here is assigning a SINGLE boolean variable based on
the comparison of array contents. If I did this in VB or VBA , there
would be no issue. Are you saying the boolean takes on the
characteristic of the tested array? I think T

Still not sure why that's an ARRAY variable, looks like a boolean to
me. Can you explain why its considered that type?
Now I have this
1) PassTest = IIf(testvolume == False,False,PassTest );
2) if (Passtest==False) i=0;
Line 1 works.
Adding line 2 fails again with the array error. T
Long time programmer, but mostly in VB type languages. I dont think
thats the problem here though.
Tried a bunch of styles before I realized that you need to use ==
