[amibroker] odbc plugin ab keeps asking for datasource

Even though I pick my machine user data source and it works, every time I launch AB or go in to the database settings screen it asks me to pick the odbc datasource again. Any idea how to make it remember it?

is it possible from a script to create custom dialogs to get user input? I am looking to present a list of choices, allow the user to highlight one, and know what the user chose. multi-select would be ideal (multiple choices into an array for example)... if this is not possible in the AB langu
