I have been using the StudyID function to place buyorders with IBController to TWS, but what I really want is to place a buystop order. I set up my entry by placing the horizontal line, set up the target and the stop in the same way. Then I initiate the order into TWS but do not transmit. I have to then go into TWS order and set up the conditional order (making it a buystop order). For example, I want to place a buy limit order at $10.50 but only if the stock trades above $10.45 (price is not at $10.25), buying on strength, a buystop order.
Is there a way to transmit the conditional part of the order to TWS?
