How do you like Interactive Brokers? They appear to be pretty solid, but also
appear to be pretty costly.
Thanks for your opinion,

IMHO being a great trader and being a genius is independent of each other
Being an exceptional trader is a relatively simple process (I didnt say easy).
Being an exceptional trader and for that matter, being a great person, is
someone who does what he says he's going to do, he does it completely,
Genius does not imply great world shattering results. Only that the
genius has far above average creative or intellectual abilities. He
may choose to apply those abilities in any area, or on none, or
squander them in selfish pursuits if he/she chooses. For an
intellectual genius the norm
My dictionary says a genius is a person with EXCEPTIONALLY GREAT creative or
intellectual powers i.e. something more than just great.
IMO we use the word far too readily in modern society ... I reserve it for
someone who makes a mark on the World stage, like Da Vinci, Einstein. Mozart
etc.
I
And the definition of a genius is that he is in advance in his time.
That implies that he serves nothing...

O.K
Now that you confirm it is possible I will keep searching and try to perfect my
good start!

A smart engineer can figure out a complicated solution to a problem.
It takes a true genius to find a simple elegant solution. ;-)

BTW the Zboard is where I post as much of my original trading philosophy as I
can, time permitting, without giving away the material that is
For me AB is an environment (software, forum, developer, associates). since
trading today is synonomous with computer trading the combination keeps me in
touch with, and gives me insight into, trading and the trading community.
IMO, while all of the best traders in the world aren't necessari
There are actually quite a few institutional users who would rather remain
anonymous...
I'm not sure a poll or thread will give you the answers you want. Certainly not
in detail.
But I'm sure TJ could relay some broad brush about the types of user.

Ok, well I use AB for autotrading FX. So far AB is my main tool, and
Interactive Brokers my sole broker.
AB was useful for both backtesting/walk-forward testing my trading ideas, as
well as serving as the platform for the actual autotrading code.
Before settling on AB about 9 months ago, I look
A poll might be too constricting, since the devil is in the details and it
could end up reducing the depth of the answers. But maybe a poll and a thread,
I dunno. I don't think any user can start a poll topic can they? I don't see a
way to at least.

This Yahoo board has a poll function. That might be the way to go for your
question. I think users have run such polls before, but it's been a while since
I last saw one on this topic. So it might be time for another census...
