With all due respects...
We must agree to disagree...
I just don't look at 'things' as having value... It is a cultural thing

Okay, then how do you determine what an item isn't really worth? That's what
you did in the first sentence or maybe you can't remember that far back?

I don't determine any value to much of anything because...
I am not in the retail business nor will I be... My life's work is NOT for

Not really... Collins gear is NOT the end all...
Steve has proven that by his NEW solid state designs...
If it is something you like fine but... let's get real... would you sell
your novice rig today??? I mean if you had it that is???
The value is one of personal value and when I pass over I

In 1961, a Ranger was $330. In 1961, a new Corvette was $3,934. Keeping the

Over priced??? beauty is in the eyes of the beholder...
When I was a novice I got a Collins 32V1 for less than $100... It looks
quite new even today... I wouldn't sell it for 1 million dollars
period... but if I was to buy another one, because of my very limited
budget, it couldn't be for mor

Because I've been looking for a decent Ranger for a while I'll chime in.
I can't disagree with people that say they are overpriced at $500. Just
because someone spends that much restoring it doesn't make it worth that -
it's generally not true with old cars, or houses, or anything else. Peo
