Hello, Has anyone gotten one of these well built transmitters on the air? HF unit is CAY-52239 3000kc to 18.100 and the IF unit is CAY-52119 350kc to 1000kc with the power supply CAY-20084 operating at 120vac 800 cy. These use a suppressor modulated 803 at 2kv. I am looking for any

Before I get to my topic I just wanted to say that I really enjoyed the Receiver subject the past few days. I see old radio's here and there that I'm scared to invest in because they may be a piece of junk or too far gone to restore. I tried to make a list of some of the receivers and transmitters

I've owned a bunch. IMHO, best overall, but a little pricey, is Alpha 76PA (three holer). Best price performer - AL-80 (A or B). Good stiff power supply, almost 3 KV. Single 3-500Z - Readily available not so expensive. Puts out 250 watts carrier with about 12 watts drive with no strain.

I use a modified 75A-4. All mods are reversible. Outboard mechanical filters plus the internal slots give the following choices of mechanical filters: 300~, 3.1 kHz, 4, 6, 8, 9.7, 16. Use outboard 10w hi-fi audio amplifier driving 16 coaxial speaker in G-E broadcast studio monitor box. The
