It is an excellent radio for AM. You really should get the AM filter. Many
AM ops use it for AM, with a linear amp.
I agree with Ed. I have done the mods for both receive and transmit and
also installed the INRAD AM filter. I get lots of compliments on the
audio. I used the rig on 40M f
