For Sale: Black Wrinkle Building Blocks

Here is a list of chasses, panels and cabinets that have a very good or
excellent, new-old-stock black wrinkle finish. All prices plus shipping.

CHASSES

17 x 10 x 3 steel “Eclipse” brand. Some paint chips at corners and occasional
paint scrapes along top edges. Looks good overall. NOS. No holes. $12

17 x 7 x 3 steel unknown brand. Has some tiny paint dings but this is
excellent. NOS. No holes. $18

And here is one UNPAINTED--bare metal in nice shape: 17 x 13 x 5 steel chassis.
This is great for big honkin power supplies where you want to mount heavy
transformers and keep the filament transformers or chokes underneath the
chassis--5 inches of height leaves a lot of space for components underneath.
NOS. No holes. A couple easily-cleaned up spots of mild surface corrosion
underneath--top side is mostly clean. How many of these are left? Hammond
doesn’t sell any steel chasses this deep at all, and none over 10 inches wide
either. A vanishing item. $30

CABINETS

9 x 5 x 5 steel meter cabinet. Nice black wrinkle. Has two 1/8 inch holes on
top for handle. Front and back panels mount with 6 sheet metal screws. NOS. No
holes. $10

10 x 8 x 7.5 steel cabinet with flip-up lid. Front panel is held on by six
sheet metal screws. Sides partially louvered. This is used, but almost like
new. The only holes are on the back of the cabinet--six 1/8 inch screw holes
and two 1/4 inch holes--probably designed to let out a line cord--that may be
original. These holes do not mar the appearance or usefulness of this neat
little cabinet. Perfect for an old-time looking VFO or small regen RX. $21

18 x 12 x 12 steel receiver cabinet with flip-up lid. Steel front panel
attaches with 6 sheet metal screws. Sides partially louvered. This cabinet
looks great overall. It is NOS but has some slight rust damage from 70 years of
storage. The bottom has some surface rust. The back panel has surface rust
about 1.5 inches up from the bottom. Then there is some very slight paint
damage along the bottom edges of the front panel and cabinet sides. But you
have to look pretty hard to see any of this from the front. It’s a nice
cabinet. $35

18 x 12 x 9.25 steel receiver cabinet with unpainted steel chassis inside. This
is an older-style cabinet with small louvers and a flip-up lid. This cabinet is
NOS. It has some marks here and there but really looks sharp overall. Perfect
for an HBR or other receiver project, or to wrap a great-looking old-style
cabinet around and existing radio. $45

19 INCH RACK PANELS

14 inch steel. Nice black wrinkle. No holes. $15

5.25 inch Bud aluminum. NOS-still in Bud packaging. No holes. $9

19.25 inch steel. NOS. Nice. No holes. $20

Thanks for looking.
