Subject: [QRP-L] New Product Announcement: 'Retro-75'

gang-
Sorry to keep folks waiting- I returned home this afternoon from a
great weekend at the MassCon QRP Convention.
This one's a bit 'off the beaten path'. The product is a 75-meter AM
transceiver board kit,. It measures 3.5" x 5.27" and runs 2.5W
carrier/8W peak. It's supplied with a 3885 kHz transmit crystal,
although a number of other crystal frequencies are available from both
US and European suppliers. Its receiver is tunable over a range of
45-50 kHz, and both receiver and transmitter functions contain ALC
circuitry to maintain decent audio quality.
There's a story here. I'd spoken about the concept at Atlanticon a
while back, but hadn't had a chance to follow up until recently. Real
life- including a new home and family issues - intervened. I refused
to let this frankly nostalgic concept die, though. After 5 years
away from the creative side of amateur radio, it's nice to be back!
It's at: http://smallwonderlabs.com/Retro-75.htm
That URL contains a link to assembly instructions for the Retro-75.
.......and on to the next project!
