Steve - Somewhat lower angles will be better, Bob recommends 15 degrees. Start with that. Mount the antenna so that the elements are horizontal. When handheld, you can twist the antenna to adjust polarization, when it is fixed, you take what you get. It shouldn't be a big problem, you will
