Just to get the ball rolling on what you require for the 10m/12m
transponder. I have no experience in building anything like this, just
a lot of questions buzzing around.

Steve - Somewhat lower angles will be better, Bob recommends 15
degrees. Start with that. Mount the antenna so that the elements are
horizontal. When handheld, you can twist the antenna to adjust
polarization, when it is fixed, you take what you get. It shouldn't be
a big problem, you will

FB. At first I thought RS-12/13 pulled an AO-7. :) RS-12/13 was a fine
bird. It was the first bird I made satellite QSO's with and had a blast
with it. RS-10/11 provided numerous contacts as well.

Yes it did go silent some time ago. The recording is probably 10 years old.
