Hi All,
I was a pass of SO-67 last night and the audio seems to be sort of muted
or suppressed.
Signals would pop through at times.
Was that just me or did it seem that way to others?
Thanks

Kevin,
ISS keps are good now, since it is still inside. Even after deployment,
they will be good for a few days until significant separation occurs.

Dee,
Good points. I don't know why operators think it's a DX pileup and have to
run 5 or more contacts and monopolize the bird too.

A bit confused here is it ARISSat-1 or Kedr?
Yes. :) Also RadioSkaf-V. They all refer to the same thing.

The satellite has different names depending on the country providing the news
release as the name has evolved. First it was SuitSat-2 which became ARISSat-1

the variant RadioSkaf-B (radio suit 2). Recently, they

There has been much discussion about the possibility of doing some on orbit
testing of ARISSat-1 while it is still inside the cabin.
That has been proposed and it is being considered. There is no decision as of
this time. This idea has some hurdles to overcome before it is a done deal.

I gave up a long time ago trying to make a contact on FM . I heard My downlink

I agree,
With the money spent on all those birds, and launch costs, they by now
could have made at least one nice linear transponder bird.

Yep I agree FM birds are out of control and something needs to be done to make
it a ham band again. There are some very bad operators on AO51. I try to make a

There needs to be some changes made . If that means sending

Hello Giulio and BB,
NASA calculates 3 - 6 months lifetime. It has to do with the original
altitude of the ISS, the force and the angle.

The spacecraft is expected to be operational for a period of between 3 and 6
