Great audio in Ohio (EN80) from today's ARISS. Mag mount attached to side
of vehicle. Even with short window because of campus building I still got
about 5 minutes of good audio.

Just a curious question. I know the insulated el. boom subject has been beat
to death. I happen to have five, 5 foot fiberglass boom sections. Is it
worthwhile using one for the mast?? I used a metal mast for years and it
"seemed" to work fine for me. Having a plethora of hardware for my

If your 5 foot fiberglass is strong enought you can use it as a mast section
but a metal mast works equally well.
BTW fiberglass tubing is recommended to be used as a boom.
