As it turned out, I jinxed myself with that post. Stood at the ready during
the pass and heard nada Thought maybe the transponder was turned
offAt about the midway point I noticed one of the micro-coax connection
points to my (uhf) yagi was broken.
Will have to fix that ah well.
If
FYI, I will try to be on the transponder during this evening's 2314z pass.
It's an 80 degree pass here in NJ. I'll be handheld using my VX-5R and
homebrew dual yagi and homebrew diplexer. I hope some others (beside Paul!
;-) ) will join me.

Did not try last night as I was operating W1AW/2 on 20/40m CW.

Sorry for the confusion. Doesn't look great tonite, with over 80% chance of
