I am new to this list. My very good friend CO6CBF Hector asked me to make
a comeback into the ham satellites world.
I found an ECHO 70 KLM transceiver that was in bad shape, but that could
be repaired. Now it is receiving , but on transmit the power is only 1
Watt.

High complexity of a ""replacement for hypercomplex AO40"" is not the
answer.
A much simpler satellite is IMHO the way to go.
It will take less time to design , build and test
It will be tipping the scale at less weight.
It will receive a much faster approval by whoever is willing to provide the
