Tonight (1/12) while getting set up for an FO-29 pass I tuned down to the
Beacon Frequency 435.795 MHz. In spite of it being more than 5 minutes
before AOS, I heard a strong CW signal at around 435.790 MHz.
It was about 0214Z and there was a series of longish dashes and some

Looks like the hackers tried to get into the AMSAT-UK Site, also, from what it
says they are trying to sell for cheap.

For the Satellites, it completely doesn't matter. At any given moment,
you only have 1 chance in 90 that you will have matching polarization.
So, if you plan to use the antenna for other than Satellites, set your
polarization
for that purpose (V for FM or H for SSB/CW).
My plan is to install 2

Here's a good Grid Square Locator. Enter the Grid you're interested in and
it will map it for you. You can see it as a Map or Satellite View and focus
down to a road where the exact boundary intersects, etc.

I've tried AO7-A a number of times, but there's never anyone there to work.
Back in the glory days of the RS Birds, Mode A was very active. I sure do
miss them. They worked very well!

You're so right about "use it or lose it". I've often called CQ through
entire passes and never made a QSO. After a few of those, I don't
get very excited about trying again.

I'm neutral on this topic, but I was curious if the M2 Manual mentioned
anything about maintenance. Here are the instructions:
