If what I just worked now on AO-51 is deteriorated performance with one dead
battery cell and another failing ...
Then we have the most magnificent control ops team in the biz. '51 sounded as
great as ever here in DM13-land.

What frequencies is the control team attempting to load for this week?

I am not sure if there is a formal alliance 'tween AMSAT, the AO-51 control
team, and this Web site ...

Question for the group.
The AO-51 status on the AMSAT.org status page shows AO-51 to have a HF

Reading about the satellite and some of the related links I found mentioned
something about a 10m uplink budget but no additional information. All other
Confirming this possibly OFF during eclipse periods is NOT a situation where
we can use a 67.0 tone to turn it ON for two minutes. This is a harder-coded

Hello all!
I have not been able to work many passes lately due to schedule at work but
the last two early morning passes that were very good I have not been able
to pick up the satellite at all. Is the satellite not in V/U mode? I was

I just wanted to give a little status update on AO-51. We are currently
running just the normal V/U repeater, with PL enabled, and the power
management software running. The power management routine adjusts the
power output in three stages based on illumination state and battery
voltage.
