I did not mean for my sarcasim to be insulting, I gather they must go hand in

So I did find a hombrew 2-meter all band in the 1999 QST, Sept,Oct,Nov...
called the DSP-10. A little more than I was looking for and I think it was
discontinued. Several hundred were sold.

Its too bad this is a SSB sat. I suppose it will be great for
those who have SSB capability, less traffic and all. I guess I have to spend
more money.

Hi Pop,
Great news on ur ssb/cw satellite!!
FM users, find yourselves some real radios, and get in on the fun..
I see loads of them on the various used markets, and at good
prices...they don't have all the bells and whistles, but certainly usable...
And now another satellite available...

Ahem, as they're being discussed,
I've a DBA-270 that seems to have lost the VHF side of the pre-amp (when I
switch on the Pre-amp, signals drop on VHF, fine on UHF). I've never had a
reason to open one, so I was wondering if its likely that I'll be able to
replace the device myself?

HK4MKE,
SSB Electronic USA doesn't have an e-mail!!

Hi Everyone,
Just set up my station and started to receive all the main satellites, using a
Gulf satellite antenna (2M + 70cm) + SSB 70cm Preamp and FT736R
When I transmit on 2M, especially FM, it's as if the preamp is squelching - the
receive signal reduces significantly. If I turn the preamp

I have been working the FM birds for years and now have the capability to QSO
via AO7 and other SSB sats. As a "newbie" I am still learning how to "find
myself,"
along with overcoming the other challenges of a somewhat more difficult art.
It has been a desire of mine to work
I am new to the satellites. Got to where I can hear my downlink if the bird is
higher than 15 degrees. My question is about handling the doppler shift.
If you do not have a sat program automatically correcting you rig frequency,
what is the most common or preffered technique? 1 - Hold the TX
Hi Satelliters,
Might cause some flames with this but here goes:
With a good few years of operating on the SSB sats, AO's-10,13,40, RS10,
FO-20,FO-29 and 98 countries confirmed I can agree totally with the "one true
rule" in theory. When stations at each end of the QSO use the method it work
Dear All,
Sorry for the bandwidth again. I would be glad if anyone could advice
me if there are any dealers or distributors dealing with SSB
Electronic Preamps in Japan.
Any pointers will be greatly appreciated, and kindly reply me off the list.
Thank you.

Does anyone have information on the SSB electronics MV 432 Preamp? The
PC board is labled "MV 432 V" with country W- Germany.
Specifications, hookup or schematic would be appreciated. I already did
a Google search and other than a photo of a "MV432 S" version. I could
locate nothing. The "MV432

This e-mail is my feeble attempt to provide a helpful response to how to set-up
SatPC32 for Doppler correction when operating SSB. I'm not an expert, but I
just went through this process because I'm migrating from Nova to SatPC32.
Since I'm out-of-town, I don't have access to my satellite sta
Steve,
Congratulations: you did a great job in taking the time to write

Steve N9IP did a very good job of explaining how to set up for VO-52 and other transponder type sats. I have the
TS-2000 and use SatPC32 with it with great success on the FM birds especially ARISSat-1. There is one clarification I
would like to make to Steve's SOP. The "C+" and "C-" should be
