Hi Enso, The OZ7SAT system is set to use 1268.705 MHz for the uplink. The actual frequency will vary a little bit due to temperature variations (the radio and transverter is located outdoors) but this does not seem to have a big impact on the uplink. We have adjusted the modulation so the resulting signal is slightly narrower than expected. This appears to help a little. Our uplink antenna is a WIMO 23-cm helix and I think we feed it with some 40-50 W.
The uplink success rate do varies a lot. On some passes we can't get in despite 30 degrees elevation. At other times we manage to get in while the satellite is only 3 degrees over the horizon. OZ7SAT is a club station and you can mail us on oz7...@amsat.org. You can see which satellites we are tracking on http://www.amsat.dk/oz7sat (the first page is mostly in Danish). The pass at 14:19-14:33 UTC today was a good pass. We received 2195 frames from AO-51.
