I want to comment that lots of times when my connection is fair, i get
connected through amsn and it just goes great, then problem happens
when u said it takes more then about 1 minute, i think as u said it
is about the challenge request since the disconnection usually happens

well, that *might* be the reason, although we can never be too sure... if
this problem happens every time, then you might want to try with a new
email, if it works, it might be the cause being that your contact list is
too big for poor M$ servers to handle...
What you can still do is
well, my email is like 7 years old and i have tons of contacts, lots
of them are deleted but i am still on their contact list, so i have
their emails in my Reverse list which i don't think i can do anything
about it, so i have to download this big list everytime!

Why, I have a modem connection at home :) I can assure you that aMSN has
no connection problems on me, even when I am downloading something (like
1KB/sec left for aMSN!) So

Hello, i am having a big problem with my amsn, that is about 1 or 2 years old.
I am on a slow connection, about 4K/s so sometimes my connection to
the msn server takes about 2-3 minutes, and i have lots of contacts.
So after those 5 minutes of waiting i get connected then suddenly i
