Sorry but you really don't know what you are talking about. I coded it like that at first, without bug. At this moment, Windows and Linux didn't have the "ChooseDevice" proc (everything was different at this time). Later someone coded the ChooseDevice for Windows and Linux and the bug appeared. So

As I expected, seeming that I was the 1 that added
the support for it :P, it worked all worked
we shouldn't forget to add the check for the pwc driver, we don't want the
wizard to crash too...

As I said already, I just suggested an advanced pref as a *temporary*

A webcam assistant is being developped and this point will be in the
FAQ. For now you can do it by typing :
::config::setKey webcamDevice /dev/video1
in the field of the status window (CTRL+s)
