Hi there,
I'm running Analog against some IIS logs using
extended W3C logs and when I look at the Requests
section I don't see any pages that were POSTed to.
Only files that had GETs were reflected in the
detail Requests section.
Have I configured it wrong?
thanks in advance,

Um, perhaps this got lost, but I'm still wondering if I can read eight months of
extended format logfiles on my NT server without a date field. The filenames contain
the
date, and a new log was generated daily. Should I write a script to add a date field
and
then run the reports?

If that turns out to be the way that you do it, may I suggest that you do
it through an analog.cfg command that allows the summary time period to be
set to whatever number is desired: 1 day, 20 days, 30 days, 60 days, and so
on. That will make the program useful to others who may share a similar
Just a quick question from a new user;
When Analog is used for several weeks,/months, will it keep adding the
information to your default HTML page even though you purge your logfiles
on a weekly basis? I would think it would as it should go by the dates.
Thanks and greetings to all

Could someone post a quick example of how browalias and browoutputalias
would be used?

Is there any option that would allow a breakdown of browser types by level
(4.x, 3.x) other than the full browser report and tallying by hand? The
summary gives me netscape/netscape compatible but I couldn't find any
other options.
Thanks.

I never know if you receive the messages via analog-author because I don't
see the turnaround like I do with analog-help.
Hope you are feeling better. I lot of people at work have been sick.
Something is going around. Maybe globally
Let me know if you still have a problem. I'll have to

Well, there is a computer-readable output mode, which you could post-process
into a more graphical output. As far as I know, no-one has writt
It depends what your logfile looks like, which LOWMEM is suitable. For most
logfiles it's HOSTLOWMEM, but if you generate filenames dynamically, so that
all your filenames are different, you will need a FILELOWMEM instead.

"Unwanted" lines means that you've explicitly excluded them. If they are
excluded with the referrer and browser in, but not without them, then you must
have either a REFEXCLUDE or a BROWEXCLUDE in operation excluding them. Maybe
you're mixing up REFEXCLUDE and REFREPEXCLUDE?

actually, it looks like it is working.
if you look at the report it says "listing files with at least 20
requests" and the "not listed" category only got 5 requests, so your

up (20). set your floor (REQFLOOR) lower. i think
