Oops - probably sent my "subscribe" message(s) to the list itself. Sorry.
I've got an HTML page that allows users to select the logfile dates they want Analog
to use. The HTML page goes to a Perl script, which does a bit of manipulation with
the dates before passing them on to Analog. (The r
Search engine spiders read that file to see which directories we don't want
them to index. I heard rumours that a certain search engine was ignoring the
file, and I wanted to verify that.

What are they looking for when they request 'robots.txt'?

I would but they don't give us shell access!

since your web site seems to be on a Unix box (at least netcom.ca is
Unix) why
not just logon to the server and do something like:
grep robots.txt access_log

I'd like to check all my logs for which hosts requested the file robots.txt
If I open the logs in a text editor I can see the association, but this is
not ideal :)

Thanks!

Hello!
I think I'm stuck! :-)
I'm running Analog 3.32 on FreeBSD v3.3 and I can't seem to get Analog to do
proper DNS Lookups.
DNS Write only writes the IP-addresses to its file, 'nslookup' works
perfectly well though.
Any help is deeply appreciated.
