format for the logs, but my problem is when I tally my results with
webtrends with the number of hits, they don't seem to equal, same goes
with page requests, my previous problem with webtrends was it doesn't

Ok, I am new to running Analog, I have read all the documentation and think
I am doing everything correctly, But I can not get it to process multiple
log files. It will process one log file fine, but when I ask it to do
multiple files, it gives an error.

Let's start with the host report.
You can calculate per day how many hosts access to your site and then
change the host floor to see how many get one, two pages...

Use grep or findstr or any similar string search utility.
If you want to use Analog, you could probably do something like
