To clarify on Aengus' second answer, the log files do not even have to be on
the same server as the Analog installation. I run all of my Analog reports
on one windows box and use Samba to connect to my UNIX log archive store.
Of course, the script that kicks off all of the reports has to run in the
right security context to do this.

Analog analoyzes logfiles. If the screen resolution of the visitors to
your site is recorded in your web servers logfiles, then Analog can report
on that information, but web server logs do not typically contain that
information. (You can get the information into your logfiles in a variety
of ways that involve some sort of scripting on the server).

No. You can copy the logfiles from your webserver to whatever machine is
most convenient to install and run Analog on.
3. Can it tell us our search engine rankings?
Not unless that information is in the logfiles. It can certainly help you
to understand what search terms users are using to find your site, but I'm
fairly sure that there won't be anything in your logfiles that will
indicate your ranking versus anyone elses servers.
