I just got a T-Mobile G1. If I go to the browser and type in the url
www.google.com, I get taken to a google error page that says: "The
page - www.google.com/ap_index - does not exist." If I type in the
url www.google.com/m, the mobile version of google comes up fine.

I'm getting the same www.google.com/ap_index error message when I try
to do a search in the home screen google search widget, or I use the
search button from within the browser. I've tried the search button
on two other people's G1s, and both of theirs worked (by worked I mean
it pulled up the corresponding google search results in on the google
mobile site). But mine gets the error. There is are a couple of
others I read on the web that are having this problem, but it doesn't
seem common.

It seems like Android is configured to look to the non-mobile version
of google when it should be going to the mobile version... but I'm not
sure. I've tried signing in and out of the online google page, as
well as resetting the browser settings, but to no avail.

Any suggestions on what the problem is, or how to approach debugging
this? The google search feature is a pretty central part of the
phone, and it's a drag not to have it working?

Thanks,
Joe
